Justice Rajendra Nath Aggarwal, B.A., LL.B. - Born on 21st August, 1925 .

  1. Did Matriculation privately from the Punjab University, Lahore ; Govt. College, Lahore ; Law College , Lahore and Simla;

  2. Enrolled as an Advocate of the East Punjab High Court at Simla on 19/4/1951;

  3. Practised at Simla and Chandigarh ; Did civil and criminal work while at Bar;

  4. Was appointed as Distt. & Sessions Judge from the Bar in September, 1963;

  5. Worked as Addl. Distt. & Sessions Judge at Gurdaspur, Amritsar and at Delhi ;

  6. Allocated to Himachal Pradesh consequent upon the Reorganisation of Punjab;

  7. Worked as Distt. & Sessions Judge, Mahasu, Kinnaur, Simla, Bilaspur, Sirmour.

  8. Appointed substantively to the Delhi Higher Judicial Service at its initial consititution w.e.f.17/5/1971.

  9. Worked as Registrar, Delhi High Court from 9/3/1971-8/6/1971 and thereafter as Distt. & Sessions Judge, Delhi .

  10. Appointed Additional Judge of Delhi High Court for a period of two years from 7/3/1972 .

  11. Appointed Judge of Delhi High Court w.e.f.7/7/1977.

  12. Appointed Chief Justice of Delhi High Court w.e.f. 16/8/1987 & Retired from that court on 20/8/1987 .

  13. Appointed Lokayukta, NCT of Delhi w.e.f. 01/12/1997 to 30/11/2002.
